MILAN BEGOVIC

Pianist and vocal accompanist

BIOGRAPHY

Milan Begovic is a Vienna-based pianist and song accompanist. He was born in Hall in Tirol and showed great enthusiasm and talent for music from an early age, beginning piano lessons in Graz at the age of seven. In 2017 he continued his studies at the Johann-Joseph-Fux Conservatory with Dieter Müller, as well as with Aris Feslikidis at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz.

In 2020, after completing his Matura, he began his studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Albert Sassmann, graduating with distinction in 2025. Since adolescence, his greatest passion has been the connection between poetry and music, and during his studies he increasingly focused on exploring the song repertoire. Since 2023 he has been studying in the Lied class of Univ. Prof. Markus Hadulla, specialising in Lied interpretation for piano.

Begovic has performed concerts not only in Austria but also in various European countries, including Austria (among others at the Landestheater Linz, the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna, and the Great Hall of the Wiener Konzerthaus as part of Wien Modern), Germany, Italy, Portugal, and Russia.

He has also received important artistic inspiration through international masterclasses, including with Michel Béroff, Claudius Tanski, KS Bernarda Fink, Thomas Hampson, and privately with KS Robert Holl.

In 2023 he was awarded the “BADEU Award 2023” by the Society of Bosnian Academics in Austria, receiving the title “Young Artist of the Year” for his artistic representation of his Bosnian-Herzegovinian heritage in Europe.

In April 2024, he was selected as a scholarship recipient by Elisabeth Leonskaja within the framework of the Schubertiade Dürnstein, under the artistic direction of KS Robert Holl, to support his artistic path as a song accompanist.

Begovic is also active on stage outside of classical music, since 2025 among others with Nino aus Wien, with whom he premiered their joint programme “Lieder im Spiegel(bild)” at the Remassuri Theater under the artistic direction of André Heller, Ernst Molden, and Ursula Strauss in November 2025.

The young pianist is also in high demand in the media. Among others, Der Standard produced a portrait about Begovic, and he has been invited for interviews by outlets such as Bohema Magazin and Switzerland’s largest fashion magazine, Fashionpaper.
