MILAN BEGOVIC
Pianist and vocal accompanist
BIOGRAPHY
Milan Begovic is a Vienna-based pianist and song accompanist. He was born in Hall in Tirol and showed great enthusiasm and talent for music at an early age, beginning piano lessons in Graz at the age of seven. He continued his studies in 2017 at the Johann-Joseph-Fux Conservatory with Dieter Müller, as well as with Aris Feslikidis at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz.
In 2020, after completing his Matura, he began his studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts with Albert Sassmann. Since his youth, his greatest passion has been the combination of poetry and music, and during his studies, he increasingly focused on exploring the song repertoire. Since 2023, he has been studying concert song interpretation in the song class of Univ. Prof. Markus Hadulla.
Begovic has performed concerts not only in Austria but also in various European countries, including Germany, Italy, Portugal, and Russia. In Austria, he has performed at venues such as the Landestheater Linz, the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien, and the Great Hall of the Wiener Konzerthaus as part of Wien Modern.
He has also received important artistic impulses through international masterclasses with Michel Béroff, Claudius Tanski, and KS Bernarda Fink, as well as privately with KS Robert Holl.
In 2023, he was awarded the "BADEU Award 2023" by the Society of Bosnian Academics in Austria with the title "Young Artist of the Year" for the artistic representation of his Bosnian-Herzegovinian heritage in Europe.
In April 2024, he was selected as a scholarship recipient by Elisabeth Leonskaja under the artistic direction of KS Robert Holl at the Schubertiade Dürnstein to support his artistic path as a song accompanist.
The young pianist is also in high demand in the media. Der Standard produced a portrait of Begovic, and he has been a guest for interviews with Bohema Magazin and Switzerland's largest fashion magazine, Fashionpaper.
